welcome to griffin hall

Here at Griffin Hall Farms we tend to do things a little differently. We are not your typical Microgreen Farm. Instead of lab coats and surgical masks, we have opted for a much more holistic approach. Unlike many other urban farmers, we like to describe ourselves as Farmers who grow microgreens. Micros are a huge aspect of our business, however you will often find us outside with mud on our boots feeding chickens, cleaning stalls, or tending to our flock of sheep. Our goal is to bring everything here on the farm full circle so everything gets used with very little to no waste.

Container Farming

The Container

On site we have a 40ft shipping container that has been retrofitted to grow microgreens. We have had the container insulated with spray foam. Installed a mini-split heat pump to control temperature and inline duct fans to circulate outside air.

We have also built a 40ft hoop house off the side of the container where we grow edible flowers!

Grow System

Inside the container, we utilize a flood and drain style system to water the micros. We grow in ProMix potting soil and use organic seeds as much as possible. We don't utilize any kind of chemicals or fertilizers to provide the best product for our customers.

Farmers Markets!

We attend a large number of farmers markets around the Boston area year round. As long its warm enough outside, we LIVE harvest all our microgreens right in front of the customer. This method not only allows the customer to receive the freshest product, but also allows them to custom blend their very own microgreen salad!

See you at the Market!
